ಹರಿಹರ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿ ಪ್ತ  ವರದಿ

       ಹರಿಹರ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ 1996  ರಲ್ಲಿ ನಗರಸಭೆಯಾಯಿತು. ಹರಿಹರ ನಗರವು ಪೂನ-ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ -4 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಿಂದ 275  ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.  ನಗರದ  ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯಾ 2011ರ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷೆಯಂತೆ 77,514  ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ 31-ವಾರ್ಡೆ ಗಳಿದ್ದು ಅಶ್ಟೇ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಚುನಾಯಿತ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.  ನಗರವು 7.84 ಚ.ಕಿ.ಮೀ. ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸಿದೆ.             

ಹರಿಹರ ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಒಂದು ತಾಲ್ಲೂಕು ಕೇಂದ್ರ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದೆ.ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ ನದಿಯು ಇಡೀ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಜೀವನದಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಗಳ ಊರೆಂದು ಕರೆಯಬಹುದು. ಕೆಲವು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿ ಈ ಊರು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಜೀವನಾಧಾರವಗಿತ್ತು. ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖನೀಯವಾದವುಗಳೆಂದರೆ, ಮೈಸೂರ್ ಕಿರ್ಲೋಸ್ಕರ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್ (ಮೆಷಿನ್ ಟೂಲ್) ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ (ಈಗ ಮುಚ್ಚಲಾಗಿದೆ) ಹಾಗು ಹರಿಹರ ಪಾಲಿಫೈಬರ್ಸ್ (ಗ್ರಾಸಿಂ ಇಂಡಸ್ಟ್ರೀಸ್ ಲಿಮಿಟೆಡ್).

ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆ ಎಂದರೆ, ಹೊಯ್ಸಳರ ಕಾಲದ ಹರಿಹರೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ. ಹರಿಹರೇಶ್ವರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿಯು ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ಊರಿಗೆ ಹರಿಹರ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರು ಬಂದಿತು. ಗರ್ಭಗುಡಿ, ಅಂತರಾಳ, ನವರಂಗ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ಮುಖಮಂಟಪಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ದೇವಾಲಯ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖಮಂಟಪವೇ ಸುಖನಾಸಿ. ಮುಖಮಂಟಪದಲ್ಲಿ ೬೦ ಕಲಾತ್ಮಕ ಕಂಬಗಳ ರಚನೆಯಿದೆ. ಇವು ಹೊಯ್ಸಳ ಶೈಲಿಯ ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬ ನೇರವಾಗಿಯೂ ತಲೆಕೆಳಗಾಗಿಯೂ ಕಾಣಿಸುವ ಕಂಬಗಳು. ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಮುಂದೆ ಎರಡೂ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಾಕರ್ಷಕವಾದ ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭಗಳಿವೆ. ಈ ಎರಡೂ ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭಗಳ ಬುಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಣ್ಣ ನಂದಿ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೆತ್ತಲಾಗಿದೆ.ಕಪ್ಪು ಬಣ್ಣದ ಹರಿಹರೇಶ್ವರನ ಮೂರ್ತಿಯು ೭ ಅಡಿಯಷ್ಟು ಎತ್ತರವಿದ್ದು ಆಕರ್ಷಕವಾಗಿದೆ.

 Harihar  is a city located in the Indian state of Karnataka. Harihar also spelled Hari-hara, in Hinduism, a syncretic deity, combining the two major gods, Vishnu (Hari) and Siva (Hara). Images of Harihara (also known as Sambhu-Visnu and Sankara-Narayana, variants of the names of the two gods) began to appear in the classicalperiod after sectarian movements, which elevated one god as supreme over the others, had waned sufficiently for efforts at compromise to be attempted.    

            The beautiful 4 feet height idol is a powerful combination of the protector (Hara / Lord Vishnu) and the destroyer (Lord Shiva). The deity is also known as Shankarnarayana and Sambhu-Vishnu.This place is also known as Dakshina Kashi / Southern Kashi. On the right side of Harihara idol is carved Shiva’s trishul and the hair styled as an ascetic and on the left side Vishnu is carved with the discus and head is covered with a crown. This marvelous stone carved temple is visited by both Vaishnavaites and Shaivites.

ಹರಿಹರ ನಗರಸಭೆಯು ಆಸ್ತಿ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆಸ್ತಿ ವಹಿಗಳನ್ನು 2002-03 ರಿಂದ ಗಣಕೀಕರಣ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಹಾಗೂ ಖಾತಾ ನಕಲು ಗಣಕೀಕರಣದ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀಡಲಾಗುವುದು, ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ 1990  ರಿಂದ ಈ ತಹಾಲ್  ವರೆಗೆ  ಜನನ ಮತ್ತು ಮರಣ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕೃತಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ನಾಗರೀಕ ಸೇವಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲೆ ಜನನ-ಮರಣ ನೊಂದಾಣಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಾ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಪಾವತಿಸಿ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಹರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. 

COMPUTARIZATION

    We are very happy to intimate the citizens of Harihara city that we have computerizes the collection of Property Tax and online Khatha Extract from 2002-03 onwards, Birth and Death certificates from 1990 to till date under state Government nirmala nagar computerization scheme, from now on wards citizens are requested to visit the citizen service centre at the office for registration and getting of Birth and Death certificates by paying service fee. Citizens are requested to make use of this facility.
